    Vintage handkerchief. Linen or cotton. Measures roughly 11.75 x 11.75 inches. Good, gently used condition. There is a spot and two small holes in one corner (see last photo). Fab early depiction of hemp or marijuana leaves. The gust lines could be interpreted as puffs, smoke or a cool, cool breeze. Weed was definitely out there in the forties (just ask the spirit of Robert Mitchum). Rich teal, orange, yellow, dark chocolate and white. Nice piece for cultural or social history, novelty or chronic collection.
