    Description

    UNIQUE: 1800s Antique Silver Plated Tea Cake & Bridal Basket w/ Handle & Base. F.A.G.H. & Co. Sheffield WITH MISPRINT ON MAKER'S MARK, making this a one-of-a-kind piece.
    EPNS-Electro Plated Nickel Silver Cake & Bread basket with working handle. Basket has Albany pattern in
    repoussé metalwork, handle is twisted rope motif.
    The maker’s mark has a misprint where the letter ‘F’ was stamped twice over itself. Which proved to make the identification of the company name challenging at first. The piece is in fantastic shape for its age with only some minor sticky residue on the bottom underside of the base. (We’re too chicken to try and remove it and will let a professional handle that job.) We couldn’t find much about F.A.G.H. & Co other than most of the work seemed to come from the 1800s.
