7.003 Inch Giant Megalodon Shark Tooth
Hello Folks, I’ve been collecting fossils for many years and I have decided to sell one of the most beautiful Megalodon shark tooth in my collection. I call this tooth the
“Golden Giant"
because of its beautiful golden brown enamel. The root is dark brown with a bright chocolate bourlette. This shark tooth measures 7.003 inches longest length by 4.812 inches wide. When first acquired, I realized this tooth was a monster, but it had some major tip damage. The chipped tip appears to be feeding damage. This shark must have gone after an enormous sea creature to chip such a large and thick tooth. I decided to have the tip professionally restored as well as a few small chips along the enamel edges. A close look at the photos will show the results are outstanding. This tooth originally weighed 20.9 ounces and now weighs 21.1 ounces. It features beautiful coloration, impressive thick root and a super-wide blade. Please see before and after photos. Tooth is an ocean find off the North Carolina Coast.
